Road to Nowhere
Well last weekend was interesting. I drove to Wales on Saturday to meet Werly and her friends, Ivan, Jenny and Jenny’s Daughter Migde, at a cottage in Llanteg. We had a quiet evening in playing Trivial Pursuit, which mostly due to Ivan, the boy’s team won. Then on the Sunday we visited Manorbier and walked around the castle before heading to the beach for ice creams.
On the Monday I drove Werly back to her flat in Stoke and then we went out for dinner in Newcastle-Under-Lyme and then retired to hers to watch The Fantastic Four. Tuesday morning I took Werly to work, then drove to Lincoln to meet Joy briefly. We spent a very enjoyable few hours wandering around Lincoln and then it was time for me to leave as I was meeting Katy in Manchester at six.
So then I drove from Lincoln to Manchester and learnt that the M62 is the highest motorway in England. I met Katy at work and then took her back to her’s. It was good to see her again but I think it was quite awkward for both of us. I stayed an hour or so and then headed home.
The weekend clocked in at 1090 miles and I actually enjoyed driving most of them which was a nice change.
