Long Overdue Update

I’ve been meaning to write this update for far too long now. Some of what happened has since been forgotten so I’m going to try and summarise January as best as I can. New Year’s Eve was spent in london with Katy and friends at a house party in Islington. Daniel was quite unwell so Katy and I spent the early hours of New Year’s Day looking after him. After we took him home that afternoon we headed back to mine for a few days. Rob came over for the evening one night and Katy cooked us both dinner and we all had a really nice evening.

Then Katy and I went up to Shropshire for a week as I had been given some time off of work to get my head straight as I had been quite down before Christmas. It was exactly what I needed and I felt a lot better after. Then when I got back I had a meeting about another webdesign job so hopefully I should have some money coming in soon.

Then last Friday I went to the opening night of Dreadnought at Public Life in London. Basically a group of Katy’s friends decided that there weren’t any good club nights in London anymore so they started their own. I went with Red, Elin & Richard and it was really good to see everyone again but it was distinctly odd that Katy wasn’t there. On Saturday morning Red introduced me to Drawn Together and I’ve nearly finished watching the first two seasons now, it’s so very wrong.

I’ve also treated myself to a “new” computer, I’ve bought a secondhand G4 Quicksilver from a friend at work. It’s about three years old but has 2.5Gb of RAM so it will be perfect as a secondary machine and to use as a file server. I’m also going to move my iTunes library off of my PowerBook because it’s now taking up nearly half of my harddrive.

I know what you mean but it was still amusing to read that a machine with 2.5Gb of RAM makes good file server :D
