No not the bald chill-out monster! I bought a new phone, when I say bought obviously I mean they gave it to me for free but you understand. I had been planning on sticking with Nokia after my experience with the Panasonic X70 I got a few years ago I had promised never to stray again. I was chatting to Alex, one of the new guys at work, who had the Nokia I was considering and he told me that it was rubbish, plus after holding it I realised it was massive. Dave then said jokingly you should get this and pulled out his Sony Ericsson orange and white thing. I said that ideally I wanted to stick with Nokia as their phones seem quite easy to use, Alex pointed out that’s what lots of our Windows customers say when they come in. That swayed me, I went to the Orange shop with an open mind, browsed for a bit and then came out with a shiny new Sony Ericcson K750i.

I am so impressed by this phone. I bought it because it was black, it had a decent camera, a decent screen and I hoped it would sync with my Mac. It hasn’t disappointed, as soon as I paired it with my PowerBook it synchronized my address book and calendar over bluetooth straight away. It also lets me use the phone as a remote control for the computer, which is cool but ultimately pointless. The camera is amazing considering this is actually supposed to be phone with a camera and not the other way around. It’s 2 megapixels and has every sort of mode you could want including macro! The only thing I don’t like about this phone is that it uses Memory Stick Pro Duo but as it’s a Sony product I can’t really complain.

I’ll take some photos with it today and amend them to this tonight. Later than intended, here are the photos; Macro Mode, Normal mode outside in the rain, Panoramic mode and Normal Mode Indoors. All the photos are a bit blurry but I think that is my fault and not the phone’s.
