Careless equals car-less
Well after a slight incident on Sunday night involving my car, myself and a rather large concrete pillar I am now without a car. I need a new front bumper and one fog light. So I now have the enviable joy of returning to public transport. Yesterday was fine, I caught the bus to and from work, it takes longer than driving and costs £4.50 per day but it got me there. Today I was supposed to start work at 1:30, the bus could either get me there for 12:43 or 1:43. So I walked to the bus stop, got there for 12:10 then waited until 1:14 when the first bus appeared. Yay, I could hardly contain my joy at standing in the rain for an hour and being late for work.
To cheer myself up this afternoon I looked at cars on autotrader. I found a 98 MkII 2.0l Mondeo Si in black for a reasonable price so I rang my insurance company to get a quote. They only want £186 more per year, compared to what I currently pay for my 96 MkVI 1.6l Escort Si, I’m quite impressed and tempted by that.
