An Industrial Night
I met Katy at Red & Elin’s on Saturday and we went out to see Deathboy play at The Underworld. They were fantastic, they were supporting Killing Miranda but in all honesty they completely out-classed them.
After the gig Katy, Shelly and I went to Nando’s in Kentish town for some dinner. This is where the night took a downward turn, we had the most appalling service you can imagine. Katy had to tell the cashier our order at least three times and get him to read it back to her twice to clarify that it was correct. Then he swiped her card through about five times because he didn’t know how to override the pin, although he never bothered to explain what was going on and she had to ask for the receipts back. Eventually she paid on another card and we sat down to wait for our food. Next they brought over the wrong food and were generally useless in every way. Needless to say they did not receive a tip.
Then we met up with everyone at Slimelight to see Rico play. His set was delayed due to some issues with the samples on his laptop, the result was that his set got cut short and he only played about five songs. It was a really good set but I would definitely like to see him play a full gig.
