NIN

It was a close call but we made it to Brixton in time. I drove from Katy’s to Bluewater, we got a bus to Greenhithe Station, a train to London bridge so we could drop our bags off with Russell, then a tube to Brixton. We ended up with three spare tickets for the gig in the end, Dan couldn’t make it and Russell & Shelly were going out. The touts seemed to have been burned as they were selling tickets for £6 to £10 and as they would only offer us a fiver per ticket we decided we’d rather give them to a fan, but we couldn’t find anyone that was looking for a ticket. Richard came and bought one of our spares but the other two went to waste.

The support act was some guy called Saul Williams who was awful, I’ve never seen the bar area so packed during a set. NIN, however were on top form, they played most of the new album plus all the classics; Head Like a Hole, Hurt, Closer, Gave Up, Terrible Lie, etc. As we were leaving the gig we bumped into lots of Katy’s friends, including Matilda and Alex who I went to see System Of A Down with, which was cool. All in all a good night.
