I’ve just finished watching the stream of the keynote from Apple Expo in Paris. Tiger (the new OS) looks like it’s going to be pretty impressive, the new search tool spotlight looks good but I’m quite anal with my filing so I normally know where my files are. The thing that really appealed to me is Automator, I can see myself playing with that a lot. RSS in Safari looks pretty cool too and will render NetNewsWire Lite redundant, for me at least.

The new G5 iMacs look fantastic too and the more I think about it the better it sounds. After looking at them on the Apple site I was talking to my brother and I was saying I wouldn’t buy one as I’d rather have a G5 PowerMac but I’ve since changed my mind. Mainly because the reason I made for choosing the PowerMac over the iMac was that you can upgrade a G5 and since rethinking it I would have no need to upgrade the machine. Plus the 20″ iMac is over a grand cheaper than the lowest spec PowerMac with a 20″ display. Still I have no need for another Mac at the moment…
