I managed to get it to run some megadrive roms from the USB drive. If you choose add emulator and then add the roms after it seems to work. Still haven't been able to burn a disc that it will read and their MMC software still can't see my CD drive. I emailed that message to their "support" team, it's been over a week and I haven't heard back.

Welcome to the site by the way.

Got PGEN to load off the EVO key but it won't see the ROMs. It doesn't even list the key as somewhere to load from, only CD & memcard.

PS. I've converted a couple of short vidclips and they look reasonable, but then found if I ignore ARM's advice and just play the original, it plays much better - doh!

Try this. Click the add emulator button and add it to the MAX Drive. Load up PS2 with the AR disc in it. Put in the Max drive, go to media player. After a while you should have a PGEN screen. Remove the max drive then plug it in the PC and add the ROMS. Put it back in the PS2 then it should show in the ROMS List. Don't know why or if this will work but it solved the problem on mine.

Still haven't got MMC to burn a CD that works, it still doesn't support my drive. Bottom line, they released it too early.

You think that's bad, try using the USB Pen to download Memory Card saves and then have all the data on your 8mb card get corrupted. Yeah, I'm really happy about that.

Want to watch movies or play Roms with your Action Replay Max Evo? Ive been reading the forums and other message boards and people cant seem to figure it out, here will help you to get all your Media Playing in your PS2.

1. For roms to work on your PS2, you must use Max Media creator to convert those roms so they can be read by the PS2. The secret is to use the "Max Media Creator Software"!!

Every where i have read people are having problems with getting there roms to work and thats why they are just burning there roms to a CD-R and trying to make it work. THAT WILL NEVER WORK!! Use the "Max Media Creator Software".

For best results Put the PGen Emulator "Add Emulator" using the "Max Media Crator Software" on the Pen Drive and run your roms from a CD-R you burned Using "Max Media Crator Software"

If your "Max Media Creator Software" doesnt see your CD Rom drive use "Save to drive" then when you click create click the button "CD Image" and wait for it to get done. Then all you have to do is use your favorite CD Burner Software to make the CD.

After your CD is done Put in your AR Max Evo Game disk in your PS2 and let it load up. Once loaded up go to the Media Player and your Ready to switch the Disk to your CD-R burned with "Max Media Creator Software" or your CD-R you burned the ISO Image to.

Do i search on google if you dont know what a .bin or .iso is.

2. Playing Media on your PS2 works the same way. You cant just put a CD-R in your PS2 and think it will play it. You MUST use the "Max Media Crator Software". Sure it can play almost any type of media, but first it must be converted.

To do this you must drag and drop the Media you want to use to the "Max Media Creator" and if there is a Yellow button saying Convert click that to convert it if not just create like the roms.

(Be sure to remove the Pen Drive if you have the Emulator on it, to watch Media)

Thats that, now your ready to play your retro games or play your favorite movies and songs.

The reason it is so importent to use the "Max Media Creator Software" is because it converts all files (even if it doesnt say it) to be read by your PS2.

Cheers for that Joe. I think you'll find most people, myself included use the MMC software and that isn't the problem. The problem is it doesn't recognise enough burners and burning from cues and bin files doesn't work in my experience. I have given up with this product but will leave this page here for others who are soldiering on.
