I bought a car today (well yesterday now). An N reg, metallic black, Ford Escort 16v 1.6 Si, to be exact. It’s fantastic. It’s in really good condition and just been MOT’d, it failed on the brakes which have all been replaced, it’s also had a new exhaust, and belts and pulleys. The previous owner also added some quite nice alloys so in the end it was a bit of a bargain but I guess time will tell. It was too dark to take pictures by the time I got home tonight but I will take some tomorrow morning (on Rob’s orders) and post them as soon as I get a chance.

It’s quite a bit quicker than my Mum’s old car and the power steering takes a bit of getting used to but I’m sure I’ll get there. I’m really happy with it so far, I’ve only about 16 miles in it but it’s fun to drive and it’s nice to have the freedom a car brings.
