Thats bollocks man. For a start, newer cars are quite often cheaper on insurance because they are safer. Secondly, the 21 yr old/group 10 thing is bollocks too. I think you should try a new insurance company if thats what they're telling you!

Hmm, well it's up to my parents really. They did eventually say that they'd insure me for £43 per month after my birthday. Still I'm stuck without a car for over a month. I guess I'll have to get on with finding my own wheels.

Oh Dean, I'm disappointed. A BMW?! I'd always thought you were a man of taste and refinement but then you go and choose a Beemer. Why not go for a Mercedes all the comfort but some class too? :-)

Ha I'm going for the Beemer cause I can afford it, it's going to be between 15 - 18k. The merc I want (SL500) would cost about 25 - 30k, I need to work for a few more years to afford it - and hey there is nothing wrong with BMW, have you seen what they did with an X5 and a LeMans grade engine? people thought it was an F15 Tomcat going past

Hi !

I hope you won't mind, but I couldn't find your email to write directly to you, so I thought the comments might be a way to reach you.

Since our blog is now powered by iBlog and we want to move to MovableType for more power and felibility, and we have nearly 800 posts, we wanted to import these to a MovableType database automatically.

That's how I found your post at MT.org :

<a href="http://www.movabletype.org/support/index.php?act=ST&f=13&t=35099&hl=iblog&s=44fca7d5d93b4af6115c4eb94bdbc4fd">http://www.movabletype.org/support/index.php?act=ST&f=13&t=35099&hl=iblog&s=44fca7d5d93b4af6115c4eb94bdbc4fd</a>

I'm not very technical and I was hoping you did finally find a way to automate the process and could help me. Could you please help me or point me to a way out ?

Thanks !

Unfortunately I never did find a way of automatically importing the posts. I spent about six hours copy and pasting and correcting the date. But I had nowhere near 800 posts. I'm certain there is a way to do it but I got no help from the iBlog people or the MT forum as you saw. I tried making a template that would output data in the format MT wanted but it never worked properly. i found that it would pick up only the titles and ignore the date and body of the post.

I'm sorry I could not be of more help. Good luck with the migration, I do not envy you. :-(
