This week I am going to learn flash. I know enough to muddle through with it but I feel like I’m going to be at a disadvantage if I am not completely flash literate by the time I start going for interviews. It’s also making me hold back from applying for jobs that either require or would prefer flash skills. The problem is that I dislike flash; in most situations there is no reason to use it. Maybe it’s because I have an interest in graphic (print) design but I don’t know why you need all these animated bells and whistles on a site. Unfortunately clients are bound to ask for it so I need to be able to show that I can do it. So, by this time next week I will have a flash example on the web. If I don’t, please feel free to abuse or shun me as you see fit.
