24 hour internet access…

I just got an email that made me very happy:

“We are pleased to confirm that your telephone line has been tested and BT have provided the date your telephone line will be ADSL enabled. Your new PIPEX Xtreme ADSL service will be available to you from the 23.02.2004.
Please note, ADSL activations can take place anytime up to 6.30pm.”

Excellent! So by Monday night I should have proper internet access. Woo Hoo!!

    Hmm. It won’t be, I think I’ll leave it all with 3dpixelnet as they’ve done such a good job so far.

    Yeah, and really standard ADSL home connections are geared up for downloading more than uploading. You should be looking at getting max values of around 60k/s downloads and 30k/s uploads depending on how busy your road/exchange is… :-)
