Macworld (iLife & Panther for about £45)

Well target="_blank">Macworld has been and gone. href="http://www.apple.com/ipodmini/" target="_blank">iPod
Mini’s (perhaps the worst kept secret of all time) were announced, an
updated batch of iLife apps were unveiled and the href="http://www.apple.com/xserve/" target="_blank">G5 Xserve
was debuted too. The iPod Mini’s were a bit disappointing really, the papers
were saying that they were going to be about £100 and they are $249
(£135ish) which means for about £50 more you can have a 15Gb iPod with
the dock and remote. I’m sure they’ll still sell them by the shed-load as
they’re smaller than the (oh-so-massive) target="_blank">iPod target="_blank"> .

As I actually have some money at
the moment I finally got around to ordering href="http://www.apple.com/macosx/" target="_blank">Panther (OSX
10.3). Which I’m entitled to for £14 (instead of £99)
because I bought my powerbook after the 8th October (the 9th to be exact). I
also ordered the new set of iLife apps which, with my educational discount,
costs £29ish. I think that’s pretty cheap for a new OS and updated
versions of apps that I use on a daily basis.
