Ka-Boom … The End
This evening was good fun. Three of us went out into the middle of nowhere
to fire the Potato Cannon. It’s a piece of drain-pipe with a chamber on the end
you put a potato in one end and then squirt deodorant into the chamber. Then
you put an electrical charge between two nails that don’t quite touch mounted in
the chamber to make a spark that ignites the gas and boom! It was good fun but
unfortunately I think I put too much deodorant in the chamber and although it
made a very impressive bang and the the potato went a long way it also blew the
back of the chamber off and smashed it into pieces. So we only got to fire it
once that evening.
