From the sublime to the ridiculous
I posted a review of “The Nightmare Before Christmas” in the forum
yesterday and I was amazed that it took three years to make. Today I watched
“Desperado” and then I watched it with the director’s commentary. The entire
film was shot in seven weeks!! That’s madness, especially considering it’s a
good film. It’s the middle of a trilogy “El Mariachi”, “Desperado” and “Once
upon a time in Mexico”. I want to watch “El Mariachi” soon and then go and see
“Once Upon a Time in Mexico” before it finishes at the cinema. Unfortunately I
can’t watch “El Mariachi” until I have nothing else to do though as it in
Spanish so I’ll have to read the subtitles.
My boss rang today and
asked if I could work all next week but - unsurprisingly - I can’t as I’m at uni
Monday and Tuesday. Looks like I’ll be working the rest of the week though
which is cool as it all helps to pay off my Powerbook. I might have some more
freelance work coming up soon too, there’s a job I did last year for a Christmas
show that needs updating for this year, the website for the landscape designer
and hopefully there may be some work coming my way off the back of the
posted some pictures of my new “toy”.
